Nestled in the Willamette Valley between Salem and Portland, Oregon, Mid-Valley Clays & Shooting School is a premier clay target facility offering recreational and competitive shotgun shooting. This facility is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday offering all target games such as Sporting Clays, 5-Stand, Skeet and Trap. A Pro Shop is available in the clubhouse located on the premises, where you can purchase or rent everything necessary to enjoy a day at the range.

We took a private clay shooting lesson with Terre R so my son could start with the fundamentals. He had an excellent experience learning and shooting, and the instruction was thoughtfully tailored to his interests. That personal approach made the lesson especially enjoyable for him and truly made his day. He is already looking forward to his next class. We also really enjoyed the location and the welcoming people.

We took the shotgun course because we were burning through way too many shells while duck hunting, and it was absolutely worth it. Kim was a phenomenal instructor—knowledgeable, attentive, safety‑focused, and truly fun to work with. She really listens and tailored the session to everything we needed, from waterfowl technique to shooting together as a family. We had a great time, improved a ton, and will definitely be back!

As an avid waterfowl hunter I'm no stranger to shotguns, but I was having a hard time hitting the targets, so I booked a lesson mid-season with Kim. She was absolutely phenomenal! I learned more from her in an hour than I have the last 3 years of hunting. She listened to my wants and goals, and tailored the lesson specifically to what I needed. She made it very fun and easy to learn. She also gave me some tips on what to work on next time I'm at the range by myself. I 100% recommend taking a lesson with Kim, and I plan on taking a lesson mid-season every year to keep brushing up on my shooting.

This was my first time at Mid-Valley and I enjoyed it so much I joined for the year. I came for a lesson with Craig because as I told him, “I was tired of scaring ducks and wanted to kill a few!”. Craig was great and I learned a lot. Now I need to practice more and next month I’ll join Craig for another lesson. More to come!
