Nestled in the Willamette Valley between Salem and Portland, Oregon, Mid-Valley Clays & Shooting School is a premier clay target facility offering recreational and competitive shotgun shooting. This facility is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday offering all target games such as Sporting Clays, 5-Stand, Skeet and Trap. A Pro Shop is available in the clubhouse located on the premises, where you can purchase or rent everything necessary to enjoy a day at the range.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Mid-Valley Clays. It was my first time at the facility, and it had been over 15 years since I last handled a shotgun. To avoid re-teaching myself some bad habits, I decided to take a lesson beforehand. I connected with Terre Rogers, one of the club’s instructors, and we had a two-hour session together. Not only was his knowledge and demeanor wonderful, but he kept the instruction light and almost zen-like—simply put, chill!
I’m now looking forward to becoming a member and working with Terre and others in the future to build my skills. I’m also in the process of organizing a group of my friends to join me and introduce them to the facility.
